Bengaluru: Grapes, watermelon fair begins at Lalbagh

BENGALURU: A month-long grapes and watermelon mela began at Lalbagh in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
About 10 varieties of grapes grown in Magadi, Kolar, Bagalkot and Vijayapura regions are up for sale at the mela.
Hopcoms managing director Prasad BN said the prices of grapes, especially the white varieties, are lesser by Rs 8-10 compared to last year.
Grapes and watermelons are being sold at 10% discount at all Hopcoms outlets across the state, including about 250 in Bengaluru.
